What a cookie is
A small file a site stores in your browser, usually to remember something between page views. Related technologies — local storage, session storage — do a similar job and are covered here too.
What this site uses
No tracking or advertising cookies are set by this site. The IQ test holds your answers in the page's memory while you take it and discards them when the page closes; nothing is written to storage and nothing is transmitted.
| Purpose | Used here? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Advertising | No | No ad networks operate on this site |
| Cross-site tracking | No | No third-party trackers |
| Test results | No | Held in page memory only, discarded on close |
| Analytics | Minimal, if any | Where used, configured without personal identifiers |
| Web fonts | External request | Fonts are requested from Google Fonts |
The font request
Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to a Google server that can see your IP address and user agent. Google publishes its own terms for that service.
If you would rather not make that request, a content blocker or a privacy-focused browser will prevent it. The site falls back to system fonts and everything continues to work, including the test.
Controlling this yourself
Every major browser lets you block or clear cookies and site data, and most offer a setting to block third-party requests. Blocking everything on this site costs you nothing — there is no functionality that depends on storage.
