The test on this site is an educational self-assessment. It is not a psychological evaluation, not a diagnosis, and not an official IQ result. It is not accepted by any institution, employer, school or high-IQ society for any purpose.
What a result here cannot do
- It cannot be used for school placement, gifted identification or special educational provision.
- It cannot support an examination or workplace accommodation request.
- It cannot be used in any legal or forensic context.
- It cannot diagnose a learning disability, an intellectual disability or anything else.
- It cannot qualify you for Mensa or any other high-IQ society.
- It cannot be compared meaningfully with a clinically administered score.
Why
Four reasons, all structural rather than fixable. Nobody supervises the administration, so there is no way to know who answered or how many times. The comparison group is self-selected rather than representative. Ten items is a small sample and the resulting estimate is noisy. And the item bank is fixed, so a second attempt tests memory.

What to do instead
If you need a result that counts, you need an individually administered test given by a licensed psychologist — a WAIS for adults, a WISC for children, or a comparable battery. It takes one to two hours, costs money, and produces a report with a confidence interval and an interpretation.
If you are curious rather than deciding something, a free test is a proportionate option, and this one is honest about what it is.
Medical and psychological concerns
If you are worried about your own or your child's cognitive functioning, memory, attention or development, speak to a doctor or a qualified psychologist. A test score from a website is not a reason to worry and not a reason to be reassured, and it is not a substitute for asking someone qualified.
